Erin and Chris got hitched on the very last day of 2016! And these two were all about sharing the celebration with their family and friends. The day started in classic midwest style with everyone wearing flannel! And the Bride made sure to make her Bridesmaids feel special with custom chalk-board signs that shared how they were each connected to her. Erin's "something blue" was her lace Tom's flats, but she also planned appropriately for the season with fancy Ugg boots! And her Bridesmaids rocked stunning gray-blue toned dresses. Once dressed, Erin did a very memorable Bridesmaid's "First Look", making an entrance in a glass elevator as all the girls anticipated her arrival below.
For another surprise, just moments before the couple's First Look, the Groom's mother snuck in to give him a few loving words of advice (there wasn't a dry eye in the house!). And then, to help focus themselves before the ceremony, Erin and Chris planned two special rituals -- a traditional feet washing ceremony and a group prayer. During the ceremony, St. Joseph The Worker church was filled with a gorgeous winter afternoon light as they knotted a rope to symbolize their union.
After the nuptials, the whole group ventured out into the negative temps (bundled in white and gray faux fur, of course) and even made it out onto the frozen lake for some portraits. After a few party bus shenanigans (see their very own "Mannequin Challenge" here), they made it to the reception at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest. Their space was made cozy and classically decorated with a silver table theme, sparkles, lots of votive candles, white and green florals, and beautiful birch wood accents. They even opted to have everyone sign a wooden Guest Book "Log"! Many touching speeches followed and after yummy cupcakes were had by all, the couple hit the dance floor to truly ring in the new year. Congratulations to Erin and Chris, two of the kindest people I've ever met -- I know your lives will be filled with the same joy you are so good to give to others.
